Lakeland 50 - July 2021
The Ultra Tour Lake District (UTLD) 50 is a 50 mile 10,000 ‘ height gain trail race with some technical bits and lots of runnable sections. 1200 entrants this year.
Jack Abbotts and Alun Rees both completed the Lakeland 50 having both last run it in 2019.
Jack was 6th (again!) in 8hrs 46 mins and Alun finished 34th (9th in age group) in 10 hrs 10 mins.
Amazing dry (v hot!) great for running weather with the usual festival like atmosphere over the
whole weekend.
