Pershore plum plodders 10K - 29th August 2021

This was the first time I’d run this race. The course was a chip timed multi-terrain route, starting at the Pershore Leisure Centre, heading out along Pershore High Street, over the river, into the countryside, along a stoney out and back track and fields surrounding Wick, returning into Pershore town and finishing with a 1km lap of Abbey Park.

Runners started in waves ordered by expected finish time with 10 seconds between wave starts to help socially distance and spread the field of runners. Alan Southwick finished in a fantastic
time of 40:55 coming 7th overall.

I finished in a time of 51:34 and was 2nd FV55-64, being pipped by 6 seconds.
